The One Where I Tried Three New Restaurants

Blessing 13 of 52

I love trying new places. Whether that be new cities or something local that I’ve never been to; I love different experiences and adventures. Especially, restaurants. I self admittedly used to keep an excel spreadsheet of local restaurants, cafes and bars that I hadn’t been to and then cross each one off the list. It was EVERYTHING when I used to be that organized and a restaurant go-getter.

So, this week I got to try not one, not two, but three new places. The first place, I had been wanting to try for years and never made it happen. It’s called Orchid Thai. I love, love, love Thai food. Especially Thai tea, yum! I have to say, the food was delish. Funny enough, I didn’t get a Thai tea (I opted for wine instead). For my entre I ordered Thai summer rolls and a specialty sushi roll called “Under The Sea”. It was all delish.

The second place I tried was in a town called Tavares which is about 40 miles outside of Orlando. I haven’t spent much time out that way, so most of the local places are “new” to me. My partner and I stopped for lunch at a place called Tiki West Raw Bar and Grill. The food was great and it had a casual and cozy atmosphere with a bit of a lake view. Shoutout to the parmesan truffle fries, the real star of the day.

The third place I tried in week 13 of 52 was also in Tavares. After we left the Tiki West Bar, we hopped over to BTW- BURGERS TACOS AND WAFFLES. I mean doesn’t the name say it all? The place was super cute and aesthetically on point. We only had cocktails and they didn’t disappoint. I will definitely be going back when I’m out that way.

Overall, I would say it was a pretty darn good week for trying local places I’d never been to. I actually forgot how much I love trying new places as it had been awhile since I’d been intentional about doing so.
