Blessing 9 of 52
I love my church. As I’ve written in previous posts, my relationship with God is the priority. God is my foundation and my strength. Starting off the year with the 21 day fast that I completed with my church, set a new tone for the future. And, this week’s blessing happen to come through none other than church.
Every so often, my church hosts what they call “Her Night”. I had always wanted to attend one, but I just didn’t make it happen for one reason or another. This time, I let no excuses get in the way for not attending. The event was hosted on a Friday night and it’s only for women. I didn’t know what to expect, the format of the evening, how many women would be there, etc. I just knew that I wanted to go and I was going to attend alone. This year, I have done more alone than any other year so far. I can actually thank the “52 Blessings in a Year” for that. It holds me accountable to do something different each week and sometimes that just happens to be doing those things alone.
“Her Night” was really amazing. There were guest speakers, worship, interaction and prayer. I have to admit, at times, I did have to work through feelings of being there alone because there were a ton of women there. And, most of the ladies were with their friends, etc. As I’ve mentioned before, the magic is in the uncomfortableness and coming out on the other side stronger. Overall, I’m so glad I went. It was nice to be surrounded by so many women that have a heart for God. You could feel all the love in the room and it was beautiful.
She loves nothing other than reflecting the image of her father. So, she’s with Him in the morning, at noon, and at night. Communing and radiating His nature to the world.
