Blessing 22 of 52
As I reflect, so many of my blessings this year have come from my experiences with Hospice and through church. I’ve signed up for experiences that have taken me out of my comfort zone (which is kind of the goal).
This week, blessing 22 came through church. My church hosted a women’s conference on Saturday, June 3rd. In pure fashion, I spent weeks going back and forth on if I should attend or not. When I was at work, I stopped by one of my co-worker/friend/Hospice volunteer coordinator desk and we were chatting. She also happens to attend the same church (so much alignment in this job I can’t even TELL YOU!). Anyway, she said that if I buy my ticket to the conference that she would buy hers. So, I decided that I was going to go.
These conferences make me nervous sometimes. Meaning, they take me out of my comfort zone. This was an all day women’s conference, so I didn’t know what to expect. I bought my ticket and said, if I do end up going alone, then it was meant to be. However, my friend did end up buying her ticket, so we stuck together all day. I got to know her so much better and that was a blessing in itself. The day was jammed packed with motivation, worship and inspiration from a variety of women’s speakers. Per usual, I’m so glad I went! I really enjoyed the whole day and felt empowered by all the amazing women I got to witness and meet.
Actually, this “52 New Blessings in a Year” is part of what me sign up too. So, I would have something to write about and stick to my commitment. Some weeks are down to wire on the new experiences, but I’m doing it!
